Throwback to a wedding that still lives pretty rent free in my mind.

@ginasosweet started her day quietly with no elaborate bridal suite or court of bridesmaids. Just her, her sister, and her mom getting ready at home, reminiscing on old memories and hopes for the day ahead.

If there’s one word I would say resonates for me looking back on this gallery it’s “intimate”. The guest list felt intentional, the family moments purposeful (Gina and her mom danced together in lieu of her father’s passing), and the partying never stopped thanks to amazing people.

This was a day that in my mind screams weddings don’t have to be a blown out affair to be incredibly beautiful and unforgettable. Plus, bonus points for the Perris sunset doing its most and giving us the perfect glowy light for their golden hour photo session together.

Happy first anniversary to these two. I can’t believe I got to be a part of such an amazing occasion and I truly hope that these coming years surprise them over and over with more moments like this, to cherish and hold on to.

When I tell you I wasn’t ready for how epic this wedding was going to be.

Sol & Austin knew how to THROW DOWN. Whether it was the on point wedding theme, the black wedding dress, or the fact that their killer bridal party brought the energy regardless of the activity - they nailed every part of their wedding day.

I honestly was so so excited to get this sneak peek done and out so fast because it his wedding has my creative juices flowing and my energy pumped for the edit. So many weddings coming up so soon, but getting work with amazing couples like these two remind me that even when I’m busy, it’s all SO SO worth it.

This wedding was filled with so many candid and unexpected moments, not least of which was this special moment for the couple presented by the groom’s aunt. This intentional moment of slow appreciation and welcoming into the family had to be one of the highlights for the night.

Friends and family, incorporating such amazing traditions from family or cultural history are an amazing way to gift the couple and are sure to be moments no one will want to forget.

There are few things quite as awesome as getting to see a former client turn into a bride to be. Truly honored to be a part of this engagement session and I can’t wait to deliver the final gallery very soon.

Alexis and I were watching every weather app like hawks hoping against all odds that we’d be able to get cloudy weather instead of the rainy weather promised. Not only did we get no rain, but the sun came out to peep hello as we got all of the shots (and shots 😉) during their session.

As we kick off into spring wedding season I’m reminded of just how incredible it is to be surrounded by amazing people who come back time and time to support me with their business because they believe in what we do and the way we do it. Sure, wedding media may be a necessary part of the day but I’d like to think that the way we do it plays a small part in just why we’re so blessed to have a full calendar year after year.

I can’t even begin to express how much I love that every one of these photos happened in moments filled with lots of laughter, unsure confessions of awkwardness in front of the camera, and genuine smiles. The best thing is capturing people just being themselves, in love.

Still obsessed with this colorful invitation suite that absolutely glows in slanted window light.

Confession? I LOVE getting invitation suites from my couples. It actually makes my heart unbelievably happy seeing the creativity of your day. Even better, is getting to answer questions when couples reach out wondering what info it is they need to include on their save the dates vs their RSVPs. Not sure what YOU need to include? Here’s some basic differences:

Save the dates are:
- sent 6-10 months before the wedding
- a way to find out who is available and seriously interested in coming to the wedding
- a way to make sure far away family and friends can prepare in advance
- a way to give a brief teaser of the mood for your wedding (you can use your engagement photos taken at a significant location of a cleverly designed invitation suite!

RSVPs are:
- sent 3-5 months before the wedding
- are used for a final headcount for the venue(s)
- should have a cutoff date for when one can reply by
- will include the final dress code and any important details including nearby stays, the map of the venue, etc

Had to share more from this absolutely magical engagement session because I’m definitely not done obsessing over it.

When Kimberly asked me for a quick video teaser I instantly thought of this song and vibe. A brief video that they could share with family and friends that felt magical, exciting, and anticipatory of the coming wedding day.

There’s still so much to cover and curate as we prepare for wedding day, but I can confidently say that this is going to be one of those wedding days you just don’t forget. These two are absolutely sublime and it’s going to be a blast.
